Thank you to Sirka and Patrick for asking me to sing at their beautiful wedding ceremony in the quaint little town of Gumpoldskirchen, just outside Vienna. Vineyards, cobblestoned streets, steeples, an aroma of fireplaces and mulled wine… it was purely magical!

Russian Language Day

The Russian Centre for Science and Culture is celebrating Russian Language Day tomorrow. It also coincides with the birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin. They have invited all who speak (and read) Russian to record a video reading a piece from any Russian author. I chose two pieces by Pushkin, one read and one sung. C Днём Победы!

This week Rebecca and I were supposed to be in Moscow performing during the 75th anniversary celebrations of Victory Day. Here is the song we were asked to sing – hope you like it – Nye dlya tibya (Mhux Ghalik) – a song about loss and the fragility of life due to war. Thanks to Karl Alin for the video and sound mixing, and to Rebecca Mifsud for the Maltese translation.
Мы поздравляем всех с Великим Днём Победы! Вечная память погибшим и живым защитникам Родины! На этой неделе я и Ребекка должны были выступать в Москве на празднование 75-ой годовщины Великой Победы!
