Once every two years we dedicate our summer to raise funds for a deserving cause. This year&#8217;s edition was called Dream a little dream and was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta on 3-7 and 10-14 October. \u00a0This was my 12th year and still, every moment spent with my Voices family is special. \u00a0I loved every minute of the rehearsals and of the concerts, and most of all, seeing the dedication, togetherness and commitment of this wonderful group of people.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s repertoire consisted of a mixture of pop and rock classics from across the decades, including Beatles, Adele, Sting, Katy Perry, Zucchero, Queen, Abba, Alicia Keys, Pink Floyd, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.\u00a0 The proceeds raised from the concerts will be distributed between the lead project,\u00a0<em>Dar Mamma Margherita<\/em>\u00a0and several other organisations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/singer\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-467\" title=\"Joe Peel photo\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/singer\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/singer\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/singer\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Photo courtesy of Joe Peel<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As most of you know, I form part of a 200-strong choir and live band called Voices.
