This year&#8217;s theme was Dream a little dream. \u00a0Performances were held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta from 3-7 and 10-14 October 2012 and included a mixture of pop and rock classics from across the decades, including Beatles, Adele, Sting, Katy Perry, Zucchero, Queen, Abba, Alicia Keys, Pink Floyd, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. \u00a0The proceeds raised from the concerts will be distributed between the lead project, <em>Dar Mamma Margherita<\/em>\u00a0and several other organisations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/studio\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-274\" title=\"Joe Peel photo\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/studio\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/studio\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.clairemccartin.com\/studio\/files\/2012\/09\/Joe-Peel-photo-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Photo courtesy of Joe Peel<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I, together with some of my students, participated in this year&#8217;s edition of Voices &#8211; a 200-strong choir and a live band of volunteers who dedicate their summer every two years to raise funds for a deserving cause.
