A week in the life… in London

In March 2016, two of my students – Deborah Dalli and Jessica Bonavia attended the musical theatre workshop “A week in the life” organised by DLS Productions, set in the Margaret Howard Theatre College, London. There, they got an idea of what it’s like to spend a week in the shoes of a real performer-in-training in London. The jam-packed timetable consisted of different dance styles, acting improvisation, solo singing and also the integration of acting and singing.

Claire McCartin Vocal Studio, in collaboration with the European Foundation for Support of Culture, organised its annual students’ showcase at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture on Tuesday 22 March at 7pm – truly a celebration of hard work and dedication… a night of great live music performed by Malta’s future stars and three great musicians – Kris Domancich on piano, Eric Santucci on acoustic guitar and Juan Camilleri on bass guitar.

And … my student Jessika has done it again! On 23 January, she participated in this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest final, Malta’s national selection for Eurovision 2016, and placed 7th overall with her song titled The Flame. Here it is – Hope you like it!!!!
