Rockschool conference – Lisbon – Nov ’18

It was a great experience attending my first Rockschool European Conference as the Maltese representative in Lisbon in November 2018. I am so happy to have the opportunity to help grow this wonderful international brand in Malta. Rockschool has been around for 27 years, growing from strength to strength, delivering the most academically rigorous, industry-relevant contemporary music qualifications designed to support aspiring artists and educators.
Here we are – reps from various other European countries, the English managerial team, Norton York (Chairman), John Simpson (CEO) and Helena Pierouilli (International Manager)… and me 🙂

KKI Junior 2018

And…. my student Martina Galea Loffreda has won this year’s Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Junior with her song “Mohh ta’ tifla” written by Paul Ellul and composed by Mark Spiteri Lucas.

Judging at Sanremo Auditions

On 30 June, I had the pleasure of being a judge at the AreaSanremoTour auditions. I am always so amazed at the talent around us. I hope to see much more of the people I saw performing that day! Thank you to Dr Marilanda Maiello for the opportunity!

Antoine Farrugia signed with Top Talent Agency Ltd

Am soooo happy! This boy, well now a man, came to me years ago and told me his dream was to study performing arts in London. His determination to reach his goal was unbelievable. In between work and school, we worked hard over the years with that sole aim. He passed all his Rockschool vocals exams up to Grade 8, and we worked on getting through auditions. He is now in his final year at Margaret Howard Theatre College in London and already signed to Top Talent Agency. I have tears in my eyes, tears of joy. Well done Antoine! I always knew you could do it. Wish you much success in the future.
